TslaMirror 3.01

TslaMirror for iOS is a powerful app that allows you to seamlessly mirror your iPhone apps to your Tesla car. Moreover, it also supports screencasting apps to a Chrome browser.

For Tesla car built-in browser:

1. Ensure that your Tesla's infotainment system is updated to the latest version, if possible.
2. Park your car and make sure it is not in motion.
3. Connect your Tesla's network to the Personal Hotspot on your iOS device (requires cellular data). Note that Tesla MCU2/3 hardware is needed, which is available on the Tesla Model 3 Model Y, Model X (March 2018 onwards), Model S (March 2018 onwards), or Tesla vehicles that have been upgraded from MCU1 to MCU2/3.
4. Ensure that your iPhone is not in 'Low Power Mode'. Launch the TslaMirror app and make sure the 'Proxy' switch is toggled on within the app.
5. Tap the 'Start' button and select 'Start Broadcast' to initiate Screen Broadcast via the TslaMirror app.
6. Use the Tesla car's built-in browser to navigate to https://TslaMirror.com:8443 or http://240.3.3.3. Use HTTPS for the domain name and HTTP for the IP address.
7. To zoom in or out, pinch the screen on the Tesla's built-in browser.
8. Currently, only the app screen will mirror to the browser. There is no support for audio. However, you can play sound from your iOS device through the Tesla's speakers using a Bluetooth audio link for simultaneous audio during app mirroring.
9. Keep your screen unlocked as per Screen Broadcast API limitations. If your screen locks, you'll need to restart the Screen Broadcast.

For normal desktop browser:

1. Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Start the TslaMirror app on your iOS device.
3. Click the "Start" button in the TslaMirror app to begin the Screen Broadcast.
4. Access the link below the "Stop" button using a normal desktop browser such as Safari or Chrome.

Key Features:

• No extra internet traffic is generated for the screencast. The app mirroring traffic is only local on your iOS device Personal Hotspot. Please note that during the screencast, the Tesla vehicle will use the hotspot traffic for its internet access when connected.
• The screencast is private and only available to devices connected to the iOS Personal Hotspot Wi-Fi network.
• For optimal performance, it is highly recommended to use a 5GHz Personal Hotspot (iPhone 12 series supports it). Avoid enabling the "Maximize Compatibility" setting for iPhone 12 series, as it will switch back to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi hotspot. iPhone 12 series devices come with a default 5GHz Wi-Fi Personal Hotspot.

FAQ:

1. This is not CarPlay.
2. iOS apps that use the AVPlayer framework, such as Apple Music and Netflix, are not supported.
3. The Netflix app is not supported.

Privacy/Security notice: This app does not collect any statistics, personal information, or analytics from users. The app uses location service to access Wi-Fi access point network names on iOS 13 or later, but location data is not stored or collected. No information is stored by the company.
